At 39 years old, in the middle of a divorce after a 15-year marriage, Angela’s world changed overnight. One morning while getting ready for work, she discovered a hard lump in her right breast. What she hoped was nothing quickly became something life-altering. On August 18, 2025, she was diagnosed with Grade 2, HER2-positive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Two tumors, each nearly 4 cm, were found, and the cancer had already spread to a lymph node.
Angela is a devoted mom to two daughters, Hailey (12) and Alexa (16). Sharing the news with them was one of the hardest moments of her life. Since then, their “normal” has been replaced with a demanding schedule of medical appointments and treatments.
She has completed six rounds of chemotherapy and continues hormone therapy injections. On February 23, 2026, she will undergo a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node removal, followed by 20 rounds of radiation. In the future, she hopes to qualify for DIEP flap reconstruction at the University of Michigan.
Despite the emotional and physical toll, Angela is facing this battle with strength and determination — for herself, for her daughters, and for their future together.
